Right-of-Way, Easements and Land Used for Access

The Woodlands was designed to balance development with nature through forest preserves, greenbelts, and natural waterways. Easements and rights of way support utilities, drainage, and public access while preserving this vision. Many of these areas are located on or near residential properties and are maintained by homeowners to help protect infrastructure and the community’s appearance.
