Community Flag Program

Town Green Flags

The Community Flag Program reflects The Woodlands Township’s commitment to honoring the nation and those who have served. Through this program Township staff raise and remove American flags at the entrances to all 14 village parks on select national holidays each year. The program follows the guidelines outlined in the U.S. Flag Code and is carried out with care and respect.

Observed holidays include:

  • Presidents Day in February on the third Monday
  • Memorial Day in May on the fourth Monday
  • Flag Day on June 14
  • Independence Day on July 4
  • Labor Day in September on the first Monday
  • Veterans Day on November 11

This program provides a visible reminder of shared values and national pride while maintaining consistency across parks throughout the community.
